Dog hotel in Graz

There are a total of 16 dog meadows in the city of Graz, which are fenced-in play and free-range areas for dogs, without the need for a lead or muzzle, and are perfect for all furry friends to play and run around. So plenty of exercise, new dog friends and, for example, a dog bathing pond await in the Auwiesen dog meadow in Liebenau. Here you can find a list of the dog meadows in Graz:

For a change, a nice dog walk with a dog walk takes everyone who is out and about with their four-legged friend to the beautiful Graz City Park, a green island in the middle of Graz covering 22 hectares. Please note that dogs must always be kept on a lead in Graz's parks - outside the dog meadows. The historic Graz City Park is already 200 years old, is a protected natural monument and offers numerous paths and plenty of cozy benches and places to linger. For monument and nature conservation reasons, there is currently only a dog zone in the Burgring/Einspinnergasse area of the Stadtpark, where dogs must also be kept on a lead.

The Augarten and Meranpark, which was revitalized in 2019 and since then has once again exuded a blooming, slightly southern flair in keeping with its name, also offer green alternatives. In the center is an intact forest, perfect for taking a deep breath and for a few green moments in between!

The landmark of the city of Graz is the clock tower, which is definitely worth a dog walk. It is located on the Schlossberg in Graz, is 28 m high and still has its three famous bells: The Hour Bell, the Fire Bell and the Poor Man's Bell.
Graz's Schlossberg is the heart of the old town and towers 123 m above Graz's main square. It can be climbed on foot or conquered with the Schlossbergbahn, which impresses with its individual design and glass roofs. From here you have a great panoramic view of the city. Together with the Mausoleum, the Schauspielhaus and the castle, Graz Cathedral forms the "Grazer Stadtkrone" at the foot of the Schlossberg. Worth seeing, preferably one after the other.
